2016 Caffeine Product Overview

Coffee

It’s no surprise that caffeine products sell like candy these days. Whether you buy Blu Frog energy products or enjoy a cup of Folgers first thing in the morning, it seems nearly impossible to get through the day with that first morning fix. So I took it upon myself to take a look at some of the different products that are available these days (both new and old) and decided to create an overview of the best products available on the market.

Some of the products that you read about here have been reviewed many times in the past. Some of them you may not have ever heard of. Take a look at the list of our favorite caffeine products of 2016!

Oldest to Newest Caffeine Products

Folgers is one of the oldest coffee makers around. You might remember the old commercials, “The best part of waking up is Folgers in your cup”. That song still stands true today as Folgers is not only one of the oldest caffeine products on the market, but it is also one of the most favored. Personally, it’s the only coffee I drink.

Next up is Red Bull. If you haven’t had a Red Bull yet, you’ve probably been living under a rock. Red Bull was started in Austria and is known as the “father of energy drinks”. It was a pioneer company in the industry. In a world full of Coca Cola and Pepsi, Red Bull set the foundation for energy drinks by offering unique flavors, intense energy and interestingly small packaging. It was from Red Bull that just about all other energy drinks were born!

In terms of my personal likes or dislikes, Red Bull can’t be beat. The unique flavor is like nothing that anybody has ever offered. It doesn’t really compare to other energy drinks because it is truly unique. It gives me the energy I like, however sometimes it gives me heartburn. That’s the only downfall to this drink.

Next up is Monster Energy. So after Red Bull came out, there was a company called “Rockstar” that came out. I don’t think they’re still producing energy drinks at this time. There were many Red Bull imitation companies that came along attempting to take over the market, but the only company that really lasted at all was Monster. Today you can get a Monster energy drink at just about any store that you walk into. Anywhere that you can buy drinks will sell Monster products.

Personally, I feel that Monster is a little too sweet. There’s some minor similarities in Monster and Red Bull, however Monster just doesn’t do the same trick. They use larger cans and a lot more sugar. More than likely they are trying to attract a much younger audience (one that would love the heavy sugar).

The last one on our list here is made by The Limu Company. It’s called Blu Frog Energy drink. This drink is very similar to Red Bull, yet very dissimilar. It’s really only similar in the sense that it offers a very unique taste and has similar packaging. It uses Limu juice which contains some very healthy ingredients. The energy you get from this is probably the most comfortable because you don’t really crash on it. However the flavor is just a little weird. Overall I thought this one was pretty good.

Limu is newer on the market. You can check out all Limu products on their corporate website and make purchases there. You won’t actually find the products in any store because the company only deals in direct distribution. So if you’re into that kind of thing, feel free to check it out.

Overall the best sources of energy that I feel I could get are in order as follows:

  • Folgers
  • Red Bull
  • Blu Frog
  • Monster

I recommend you try them all. Chances are you have already tried some of these products. If there’s an energy drink you haven’t tried yet, give it a shot and let me know what you think. There are actually thousands of companies who produce energy drinks and caffeine products. Don’t feel like you have to restrict yourself to only a few!
